Alumet invests heavily in training / health & safety and is proud to have dedicated staff for both HR and Health & Safety issues.
A number of staff at Alumet have been sponsored to complete relevant qualifications, including courses in Logistics, Team Leadership, Performing Manufacturing Operations, Assessing Candidates, Construction, 3D Design and Contract Formation.
All staff that are required to visit site are Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) qualified. Alumet received a Gold Award from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) in recognition of their 100% CSCS accreditation.
Alumet has also started the complex task of training all of its construction staff for the Site Management Safety Training (SMST) update.
Over 50 installers and members of staff have now attended a three day VELFAC course in Denmark, learning all aspects of the Scandinavian window system.
Internal training has also taken place on 'Glass Handling' and 'Working at Height'.
In June 2008 a dedicated Training Centre at the company's head office in Warwickshire was officially opened by HRH the Duke of Kent. Visit our Royal Visit page for more info and photos.
As a testament to how highly Alumet value training, the company landed no less than 11 H&S awards in 2008 showcasing their outstanding achievements on a variety of sites.
