In June 2008 a £500,000 Innovation Centre and Training Centre at Alumet's head office in Warwickshire was officially opened by HRH the Duke of Kent.
The Training Centre includes plentiful space for staff, a projection area and a showcase for a range of Alumet's latest products. The centre is the ideal space for managers to coach their team and for professional bodies to give lectures and development training.
The large Innovation Centre houses state of the art fabrication equipment and is being used for further research and development into glazed façade technology.
The new facilities also incorporate a large garden area for the factory operatives and office staff to have breaks in a pleasant, fresh air environment.
On arriving at Alumet HRH The Duke of Kent was greeted by a range of local dignitaries including the High Sheriff of Warwickshire, Mayor of Southam and HM Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire. His Royal Highness joined us for lunch and was then given a grand tour of the office and factory facilities.
