Scott House and Hamstead House, Birmingham

Scott House and Hamstead House were refurbished as part of Sandwells Decent Homes Programme. The programme involved the refurbishment of the entire building including new kitchens, bathrooms, wiring and heating. Alumet carried out the external work on the building, providing new cladding, doors, balconies and windows.

As well as improving the visuals of the building, the new features also helped the building to achieve new levels of insulation and weather resistance.

Tennants provided input on the colour and appearance of the new systems through consultation meetings.

The aim of the project was to make the buildings better places to live and more attractive landmarks on the skyline of Sandwell.
