1st March 2010
Throughout 2009 Alumet organised fundraising activities to raise money for a local charity called Thomas's Fund. The charity provides musical therapy for children and young people with life limiting illnesses (unexpected to reach adulthood). The musical therapy they provide helps to develop self-expression, communication and social awareness.
In February 2010 Lucy Smith, the co-founder of the charity and her son Harry Smith, the charity's Junior Ambassador, visited Alumet's headquarters in Warwickshire for the official presentation of funds. Alumet Director Damien Bradley presented the cheque for £2,584.65. This money will help to provide vital support for the charity.
