Alumet has three fabrication plants at its head office in Warwickshire. The most recent of which is a £500,000 unit opened in 2008 by HRH the Duke of Kent. These facilities allow the company to produce the majority of products in-house, as well as allowing for further research and development into façade technology. Our facilities house the following equipment:

  • A fully-automated compound double mitre saw and CNC machine.
  • Overhead cranes to handle the company's glazed unitised systems.
  • An Alucobond plant, where all shapes and sizes of rainscreen cladding can be designed and fabricated.
  • An Emmergi Comet T6 Machining Centre, creating an excellent accuracy for fabrication work.

The company also has a tool room, paint shop, welding facility and machine shop. Alumet has the capacity to manufacture all of its own steel fabrications and brackets in-house.

Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Alumet's team of designers use AutoCAD 2009 software to render all models.

Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM)
Once designs for sections are complete, they can be sent to the CNC machine electronically to be manufactured.

We have built up a library of bespoke machining operations relating to particular sections and bars. This back-catalogue reduces the time taken to respond to contracts.

The machine's hidden benefits mean that movement of bars within the workshop is dramatically reduced, noise levels are appreciably lower and the workshop is a cleaner and tidier environment.

The machine enables us to offer our clients innovative solutions to particular design requirements.
